Clearworkers, operated by Alex Welstad, builds CertTrack — a workforce certification tracking platform for construction companies. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights around it. We try to keep this readable rather than burying you in legalese.
1. What data we collect
We collect information that employers and workers provide when using CertTrack:
- Identity information: names, email addresses, and phone numbers
- Company information: employer and company names
- Certification documents: files uploaded by employers to track worker qualifications
- Site attendance records: logs of worker presence at job sites
- Account and billing data: information needed to create and manage your account and subscription
We do not collect data beyond what is needed to run the platform. We do not sell your data.
2. How we use your data
- Track and display worker certifications and their expiry dates
- Send automated email and SMS notifications when certifications are approaching expiry
- Help employers manage job site compliance and workforce documentation
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Provide customer support and improve the platform
3. SMS terms
Program: CertTrack by Clearworkers. Workers enrolled by their employer may receive automated SMS messages about upcoming or expired certifications.
Message frequency: Varies based on your certification expiry schedule. You will only be messaged when a certification is approaching or has passed its expiry date.
Message & data rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any message. You will be removed from SMS notifications immediately and will receive no further messages.

To re-enable SMS notifications after opting out, contact your employer or email us directly.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted third-party services to run CertTrack. Each receives only the data necessary for its function:
Supabase (Database and authentication) — Stores all platform data securely.
Twilio (SMS delivery) — Sends certification expiry alerts via text message.
Resend (Email delivery) — Sends certification expiry alerts and account emails.
Stripe (Payment processing) — Handles subscription billing. We do not store card numbers ourselves.
Vercel (Hosting and infrastructure) — Serves the CertTrack application.
Anthropic (AI document processing) — Assists with extracting information from uploaded certification documents.
We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your organization's account is active on CertTrack. If you close your account, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the email below. Some data may be retained for a short period afterward for billing, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (subject to active account status and legal obligations)
- Stop sending you SMS or email notifications

7. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of CertTrack after changes means you accept the updated policy.
